I've been noticing several with glitches. It would seem that there aren't that many on the floor, but that there are many with preliminary problems. Is this just an illusion or are there truly several with glitches? |

I was thinking the same thing. My rule of thumb, never buy a first model year. This new motor might as well be considered a first model year with all the changes it has. I'm sure they are just growing pains and will be worked out shortly. |

Glitch has yet to own a uly! I thought about that when I hit enter. I definitely wouldn't want to buy a bike full of "Glitches". It would make it uncomfortable and people would stare. |

Is it just the Ulys, or are all the '08s showing problems? Terri's new Ss is scheduled to be shipped on the 24th of this month. Hopefully, it will be trouble free. |

I'm thinking about an '08 Uly and the apparent number of glitches is a concern. How many out there have '08s that have been trouble free? |

My '06 has not been without faults, but it's still my favorite of all the bikes I've owned. I've seen: - Bad Fan - Sidestand recall - BAS recall - Bad rear wheel bearings - Leaking fork seal - Leaking countershaft seal Despite those issues, which were all pretty minor and covered by warranty, the bike is still a wonderful machine. I'm sure the '08s will have some pains, but they'll get straightened out. |

My 2008 Ulysses has 920 miles on it now and hasn't had a problem yet. The only thing is a broken exhaust band. Which was my fault because I believe I tightened it too tight.. |

I have an 08 about 3 weeks old now just over 1900 miles, it surges a little at low RPM but I do not notice it at "happy face pace". The little clutch cable support spring that keeps cable off exhaust broke on first ride, dealer has ordered new one will replace when in stock. I am very pleased with frame, suspension, brakes and general build quality so far. I would like a little more power, but that said the power it has is very usable. Overall I am very pleased with my decision to try a Buell. Also am very pleased to have come across this site, very nice to here and read other peoples opinion on bike. |

Karlsbad The little clutch cable support spring that keeps cable off exhaust broke on first ride, ____________________________________________ I bought the 08 Firebolt after too many trips to service with 06 Uly. That same cheep wire support broke on mine too. A friend noticed smoke coming from my engine as the clutch cable was then burning on the exhaust. The people that think these issues are trivial when you lose work time or show up late for an important meeting. These break downs are NOT trivial unless you are retired and like hanging around at the dealer. |
