loading the drivers is a pain, but has to be down exactly as described by Sonic on the UK board. http://www.bike-pix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2034 0 If not you have to clean out the drivers & start again. Remember it loads in 2 parts, windows xp is stupid so ya have to lead it to the inf. file. I'm hosting a the clean out file so you can try again. http://www.filefactory.com/f/525ca6c5d7f44b6a/ FTClean.zip New tuning guide is there also. Just like Bosh says. Turn off the software key to get the TPS Reset button to glow. Doesn't seem right but that is apparently how they coded it to work. After the Reset you'll have to turn it back on to get the values to start showing up again on "OverView". |

One more question. What will happen when I click on the TPS reset button? Will it do the reset by it self or will there be a another window for entering the numbers? SORRY!!! |

It will zero your TPS. Then turn software key back on to receive data from ECM and then you have to turn the bike's idle cable screw until TPS degrees reads between 5.2 to 5.6 degrees ( that's straight from service manual instructions on TPS Reset on page 1-49 ) on ECMSpy and that is so your bike will start up as it won't if your TPS is down at zero (makes sense because at zero value you'd not be getting any fuel ). You can read that TPS degrees value from Overview or ECM Runtime screen. Then take the ULY for a ride until it is well warmed up and then set your idle to 1050 rpms. If it runs funny, then your AFV needs to adjust itself and you can do that by riding your ULY for awhile above 3500 rpms. Maybe easier done on the highway in 4th gear to keep the cops from ticketing you. Mine ran just fine after the TPS reset but Bosh told me his needed some runtime to get going to optimum. Have at it. |

I used ECM Spy today to reset the TPS. The ECM Spy directions say to set to 4.6 degrees. I then test rode the bike and it ran absolutely fantastic. Smoothest it has ever run at above idle speeds, pulling out, going slow in 1st or second gear where it was alway a bit jerky before. Throttle response at higher rpms was great. Anyhow, Electraglider says to set degrees to the Buell service manual specs of 5.2 to 5.6 degrees. Thats a big difference. Is the ECM software different in reading the values in the settings? I am keeping with the 4.6 degrees with ecm spy software because of how great the bike is running, best ever. Anyone know the discrepancy? (I am not saying that Electraglider is wrong) Just wondering about this. |

The worst that will happen is that the idle will be too high and all you'd have to do is idle it back down with that same cable adjuster. Set it at 4.6 and readjust as necessary. |

TPS is set to approx 4.6 degrees or 5.1%.The % window is the bigger one in the middle and the degree one is the smaller one to the left. I think that is the confusion. |

Hey guys, I've got my stuff on order to make my cables, but in the meantime I downloaded and installed ECMSpy. My big question is can it be converted to English? Did I miss something somewhere about converting it or downloading an English version? |
