Was a beautiful day in the Virginia Beach area today. A near perfect day to ride. Crossed over 50K while enjoying the day.

Wholly miles, Batman! Has it ever stopped long enough to be washed? I gotta retire so that I can do that. Have you had any long mileage issues that haven't been addressed on any other normal miles '06 Uly? |

Tell us about it. Any major milestones, technical or otherwise? Any catstrophic failures or was it all smooth sailing? |

So you're averaging about 20K per year? I did that the first year that I owned my X1. after that, I calmed it down a good deal. |

I picked the bike up just shy of two years ago on the weekend before Labor Day so I've been averaging 25k a year. I hardly ever get in my car. I'm very fortunate to live in a place where you can ride all year long. Cars suck. I have had most of the same issues as everyone else. I currently have a running issue that has been with us for the last 1000 miles or so and we are having trouble locating the problem. Seems electrical in nature. Maybe the wiring harness. The bike will bog down unexpectedly while riding along and then snap right back to full power. Very frustrating to me and my dealership, but we'll get it. Because of the issue I have been riding my 01 Moto Guzzi V11 Sport and my 98 S1W to work a lot more than usual. I love both bikes, but they just make me really miss the Uly running right. I love the damn thing and will more than likely buy another when it's time for this one to go into retirement. |

Wow, that's impressive. There is probably not much time for posting on BadWeb when you are riding that much! |

Duck - well done, glad to hear you are still loving the bike. Way back when it was a thread on Badweb that had details of you picking the Uly up new and heading off on a big haul that got me interested in one! 25,000miles |

I'm lagging with only 9,000 smiles on my 06'. Duck, with that name and mileage, I can only assume you must be migrating with the rest of your feathered friends. (Message edited by electraglider_1997 on August 13, 2007) |

Just turned 28,000. My mind was wandering on the Plains of South and North Dakota this past weekend. Are the wheel bearings going out? Fuel pump wires being chaffed? On and on and on, just like the roads. |

18.5K on an 06,stock except for windshield changes for the winter riding. The 98 S3T has been ignored for a full year and is stuck at 29K with not much hope of getting more miles unless the ULY dies. |

Is that a Vienna sausage in my pants or am I just embarrassed about my 8600 miles in a year and a half? |

5300 in 13 months or roughly 1/10th of Duck. I just don't see getting 50k out of this Uly. The quirks will drive me away long before 50k. |

Sorry to hear that Joel. I read your "problems" section. Seems like minor stuff, but I can see how it would be annoying. I don't understand the rear stepping out thing. Mine is on rails. |

26,000 since December of '05. I wish I could find time to put more miles on, but sometimes life gets in the way of my desires. |

30k since 1/23/06. Going on ~2200 mile tour to Oregon (as far North as Tillamook) next week. Mine bogs occasionally when restarted hot after refueling. Only lasts a couple of miles, but the first time it nearly stalled in front of oncoming traffic- got me kind of high in the seat. The other time was a loose/oily plug wire (yes, the front one). |

So far I've been lucky (knock wood)...my engine has been rock solid. Even after doing a couple of track days (three more to go this year), it just humms right along. In fact, now that it has 12,000 miles on it, it's running better than when it was new. I did the Motoman break-in on it, and I've run synthetic oil (Redline) in it since 3000 miles. I do my own maintenance, and and keep an eye out for any leaks or other abnormal behavior. So far, so good. |
