I assume others have already tried to do this. Are there any tricks or words of wisdom to remove the graphics stickers without scratching the cover? |

I haven't tried it, but for other similar labels on various other bike, people will use dental floss or fishing line behind the label, accompanied by WD40 or Goo Gone. Work it in a sawing motion, spraying as needed. |

I would take the air box cover off and use a heat gun on the back side, just watch that you don't melt the cover. Then just peel them off when they are hot. |

Mine just peeled off at 2000 miles. Left a little adhesive residue that cleaned right up with alcohol. The finish under the removed stickers seemed dull compared to the rest of the cover. After applying the skull decal and waxing, you can't tell.

Hi, I have a lot of experience with this...I remove all the badges from all my vehicles (always have). Use a hot air gun to get started, but don't get it too hot (it'll leave more glue residue if you do). Peel it off, then use WD-40 on a wash cloth to get all the adhesive off. Works like a charm every time! |

Thanks for all of the suggestions. For those that have done this, did everyone find that the tank is dull like Bob under the decals? |

I take my badges off the day I purchase my vehicle...No fading whatsoever... |
