When I took my bike in for the 1000 service I also stated that I was now hearing a very slight metal jingle sound when I rode the bike. When I picked it up I was told I had a fender bolt loose. I kept hearing this so tonight I went out and checked everything. Lucky me, it turns out that there is a coiled metal support that the clutch cable loops through on the front of the engine. This had broken in half and the broken piece was now rattling on the header pipe. The best part is when this happened, it burned a hole in the gator rubber section since it was now brushing up against the header pipe. |

It's happened to a few of us. Just the broken support for me tho. |

Did you hear this on trailing throttle right before the bike returns to idle? I am having an issue similar to this and have yet to ascertain the cause. After checking everything out pretty close I have been prepared to write it off as another Buellism! |
