I was thinking about this ride. Not sure about my pirelli syncs though, they get terrible traction in wet grass. Is anyone else thinking about this ride? |

I have done this ride a couple times in years past. Unless they now have a separate "big bike" route, it is really not suited for Uly's, GS's etc unless you are a hero. It is mostly plated dirt bikes (which is what I ran), or big single DS (KTM's & XR's). Maybe it is different now, but it was pretty hard core for a dual sport ride. It is also clay dirt, so a little rain makes it challenging for even true DS bikes. Not trying to scare you away (it is an awesome ride in a great area, and well run), but was not sure if you were familiar with the event. They use a lot of trail that is also used for the national enduros that they have in the area. If the ride has not changed in the past few years, Pirelli Syncs=going down hard. |

Thanks for the heads up. Perhaps I'll call to find out what they have planned. |

I was thinking about this ride as well. We'll see. I just did around 300 miles in the dirt at Deal's Gap area and the bike did awesome. Some of the trails I had the Uly on were crazy... washed out, rutted and riding two-up.... a heck of a time. So let us know what's going on and maybe the wifey and I'll show up. |
