Does yours suck as bad as mine?? I finally got my Zumo set up with some tunes and go to listen and it sounds cruddy man! I am using high quality earphones and everything... the mp3 tracks on the unit sound quality wise are great but the XM sucks. Just tell me yours sounds like shit too so I can be happy.... p.s. I love the 'Lucy' channel. Not a bad song on it! Great stuff. |

My MyFi isn't bad at all, I mean I can tell when I have good headphones on, but not on computer speakers (Logitec z4?) or on the bike through entymotic earbuds. I listen to Lucy, Fred, Ethel, deep tracks and pretty much all the other "rock" channels, but their NHL coverage rocks! Oh, and I help my brother with his computers and in exchange he pays the $6/mo to put my radio on his plan |

Mine is very good, no complaints at all. I'm on Lucy 90% of the time. I have no idea what the problem with yours would be. It seems like if mp3's on the Zumo were fine, then the XM should be fine too. |

Might be the lingering result of some earlier problems. I have notice the Sound Quality is not the same as a week ago. http://www.computerworld.com/action/article.do?com mand=viewArticleBasic&articleId=9021138&intsrc=new s_ts_head |

I'm not familiar with that unit, but, check to see if there is a "line out" level adjustment on the receiver. This varies the out put of the line feeding your amp. If the level is set too low the volume will be low, if it is set too high, you could be overdriving the amp and that is where distortion will be an issue. You have to find a happy medium to get it right. If you are going directly to headphones from the receiver, there shouldn't be an problem. XM,like MP3 will never sound as good as a CD because of the compression. Hope this helps. |
