I use Parabellum's hardware. "T" nuts, bolts, rubber coated washers, and black plastic caps...added to Buell's regular rubber grommets. |

I bought four of the mounting thingies that are on the stock Buell screen. They had to order them but it was about $2 or so. Without the lip of the Buell tall screen, I don't think it's likely to come off. It also make swapping back to the stock screen that much faster. |

Snowscum: It is actually just basic hardware that you can get at Lowe's. We should get together so you can see what I'm talking about. |

They dont look like the same diameter as the stock holes. So the fasteners in the stock sheild come out? Max we should meet sometime as I would like to see your red version in person. You did a sweet job with the mods! |

Snowscum, How do the ZG holes vary from stock? I put a set of stock fasteners in my ZG and they have been working fine. Don't try to remove the original fasteners, just get a second set. I'm not sure why you would want to mess with the fly screen to change the wind screen which is required for the bolt-on system. |

The reason I asked because I wanted to mount the screen last night. Thought I could use existing fasteners. |

I mounted my ZG with factory hardware. Then I bought two of the recall fasteners (bolt type) to put on the bottom to keep the shield in place at high speed. |

Snowscum, I didn't get the "last night" part. Sorry. I started to try to get the original ones out but it felt like I would tear them apart before they released. If you go the hardware store route, be sure to post the parts list. I'm particularly interested in what you use for the rubber inserts in the shield. |

The guys in the shop said to use plastic screws and nuts. What do you think of that? Is the recall hardware plastic? |

I used the original mounting hardware which made it easier to remove it and put the California Scientific windshield on. They even gave me $60 for the Zero Gravity, more than it was worth in my opinion. DC |

Hey Edger, How 'bout some specs on you and the CaliSci. I'm 6'1" with a 32" inseam and have been looking at the CaliSci for some time. I've been having trouble deciding which size to get. What's your size and the screen size? I take it from your comment that you are pleased with the CaliSci screen, yes? |

I'm 5'9 and use the "tall" windshield, there's no buffeting. Someone said it's ugly but only from the front, when you are sitting behind it at 80 MPH it's a beautiful thing. DC |

that cali sci is overly ugly, and will probably never end up on my uly. Perfect would be the ZG about 1 inch or so wider |
