Doc, I have to ask; how do you know it was the pads that warped your rotor? Can't prove it, but rotor was fine before Lyndalls, pulsation started after I installed them (with bedding as instructed). Tried everything suggested in articles on pad deposition. No effect. Could have been coincidental. My experience appears to be unusual, I'll admit. I don't do track days, etc., so stock pads are fine. It does appear that the rotor is prone to "acting up" more than usual; perhaps due to its large radius and relatively small width (not thickness). Don't want to start a "pad war." Just another rider's experiences. I've put 45K miles on the Uly in 2.5 years. |

Rotors should not warp ever. Power steering pumps shouldn't fail on $85,000 cars with 100 miles either. Shit happens. |

Sure shit happens and when it happens in warranty Buell should stand by its product and not make BS excuses like they was done in this case. |

M singer right on this one and that is my point. Shit does happen Court doesn't mean it should happen and if it does it should be taken care of. I also wanted to point out that many think they have warped rotors when they really have break dust build up or some other issue. |

FWIW I just had my rotor replaced @15k under warranty...it is nice that the right lever is no longer the on-off switch for the jackhammer. I guess it is a YMMV condition with the dealers ...lets see how long the smoothness lasts.... |

Well it may be true that dust build up could lead one to mistakenly think that the rotor was warped. It is Buell's responsibility to have well trained techs to know this and not say sorry its a wear item. IMO Buell's service after the sale is better then a lot of other motorcycle manufactures. The problem is that the bar for service in the motorcycle industry is set VERY low. |

I had my rotor replaced at 6200 miles, warranty covered it... the tech said it was the way they were stored at the mfg, doesnt matter why, as long as it was done at no charge. |
