I've demoed a few Ulys and love the bikes. I would prefer a Black '07 and have talked to 3 dealers. 2 of them told me they do not have any '07s on order, one of these two also said they are not ordering '08s. Have they stopped shipping due to recalls or are they trying to keep them off the showroom floor to keep demand up? Mark |

Mark, Check out www.buell.com and find locations in your area. Most of them have inventories on-line. Also check out www.cycletrader.com. |

I see our wonderful HD dealers are at it again. Recalls??? Please, I wish they would just admit they are ignorant bikers that know nothing about motorcycles outside the black box. Now I have been told that F&S HD in Dayton is a good Buell dealer. I hope this is not the dealer that fed you that line. If it is then come to NC, There is a Black '07 and White / Orange TT at my servicing dealer. |

I stopped by the crappy dealer here in town to take a look at the Scorpion Syncs to see if they would cut it on my dirt road. They had at least 8 Uly's and I notice 5 were still wearing 616's making them '06's. If that dealer didn't suck so bad, he could probably sell some of them. The dealer that is 50 miles away is a great dealer and they do pretty good at turning their bikes. |

I have to go past 2 Buell dealers and 3 BMW dealers to get to a decent Buell shop. They are awesome though, treat everyone there great, be it harley or Buell. Lake Erie Harley rocks. |

Those guys that say they are not ordering are probably leaving the Buell business unfortunately. This goes back to the argument about making Harley dealers be FULL line dealers or letting Buell go to other dealers, Honestly though I hate this answer myself they would carry them if they were called HD Sport Series vs Buell. Kind of funny here my local dealer did not order any '07 Uly's either said they generally only sell the Bolts but they got an '06 in at a sales guy's insistence and it was sold in less than two weeks. Harley dealers don't like Buells because they generally are not "full pop" sales like the rest of their bikes but some are already starting to learn that even the cruisers are not full pop sales. |

I have a great servicing dealership that I will probably never buy from. It isn't that I don't want to, but I don't think MSRP is a great deal. There are other dealers willing to sell for less than MSRP. I don't want them to give them away, but I walk in with a checkbook in hand and say "let's make a deal". How much commission does that deserve? I'm in sales. If someone walks in and is ready to buy, it becomes a volume business. The quicker I can close the deal with this customer, even for less money, the quicker I can work with the next customer. Agree on a price, have the finance person draw up the paperwork, shake my hand, shuffle me into the back office to close the deal. Give me my T-shirt. Ring the bell (oh yeah, Buell people don't get the bell ring). Shake my hand when we load it on the truck. Wave goodbye. |

I have a great servicing dealership that I will probably never buy from either. The depreciation on a new Buell is just way to much for me to swallow. I got what seems to be a perfect bike with 800 miles on it for $3k less than it would have cost me new. $3k! That is like seven years of insurance payments. 300 cases of beer. Several tanks of premium gas... |

$3k buys 300 cases of beer? WHERE? $10 a case. Is it a grocery store brand? Food City Beer? ......Yummy......or perhaps Sam's Club 'ol Foamy?......yak..... I'd rather put that money in the new bike. |

C'mon, Vern. You KNOW that $3,000 would buy a significant quantity of "white pixie dust" from the beer fairy! If I could only find that ring of toad stools in the woods. |
