Buell should march over, buy these mirrors from Aprilia and make them a factory part. I saw another on here (same guy that lowered his bike) that had put these on and I liked the look. He also stated they worked much better. Not only do they look better, but they offer a better view and one that is clear, as in not shaking to death. For $100 this is the best mod I have made! |

I'll try to grab a pic in the morning if it doesn't rain. I got them from AF1 Racing, the total shipped to me was $108.93. I did the ones without lights in them. |

Birdmanrh, I looked at the pictures and it looks like the Tuono arms are much shorter than the Uly's stock ones. May be an illusion. I already have half of the mirror view blocked by my elbows so shorter mirror arms would make it worse. What's your secret, if any? Just bend your arms in when you want to see? |

Gotj, They are a little shorter, but they don't angle upward as much. The mirror is also stretched. You can see more pictures of them here: http://www.zenfire.ws/buell.htm Warbaby is who did the original mod. He's a great guy and would be more than happy to help with any additional questions. |

I have them and agree that these are the right mirrors for the Uly. Gets rid of the Darth Vader with Mickey Mouse ears look. |

I happened to pass a Aprilia dealer today and pulled my Uly in and asked about the Tuono mirrors. They had one on the floor. I noted they seem to have plastic frames/housing for the mirrors. For the prices quoted I had thought they might be metal but these seemed plastic. Part # AP8104921 & AP8104922 This dealer did not have them in stock but priced them at $38 each - 2 week delivery. I did not try to buy them but I did get the part number and it matches the one from the exploded part list in the link posted by FB. I also have the question about the difficulty in mounting. I seem to remember some pictures about mounting them. They do look nice. |

Count me in.....those mirrors look great. From those that have them, was the installation pretty straight forward? |

I had the pleasure of riding both my mother and father in law on the back of the bike today. It was fun to share what I enjoy with them. |

I hope you rode them one at a time What fun would that be? I am not getting these mirrors. They were high on my list until the Rizomas became available. If I were going to switch mirrors, I would get these for sure. |

taking my cityX in the woods, the mirrors regularly get smacked by branches, so I'm not willing to pay mega $$$ for 'trick stuff'. for those interested, I came up with a cheap solution: - get cheap ( Kimpex) mirrors. - use a heat gun to soften the glue stips, and peal out the mirror - attach sticky type wheel balance weights to the back of the mirror - reassemble with 3M double sided foam tape. 1.5 grams seems to be about perfect to stabilize the mirror at all speeds. The 9 doesnt have as many issues with vibes, but steadying the mirrors also SEEMS to reduce the vibes in the grips. |

Got word today that the originator of the "Tuono mirror swap", Warbaby, has left our ranks in favor of a new Fizzy. Can I get a moment of silence for our fallen leader? |

He dumped all that money into a Uly to lower it and what not to turn around and dump it off that fast? Wow. Wasn't he one of the first with an '07 too? Somebody will be able to pick up a nice Uly somewhere for a good price if he traded it in. Hope he enjoys the Yamaha. I sure enjoyed watching him mod the Uly. |
