Passing by the local motorsports shop near my house, there was a kid sitting on his red late model what looked to be a Ninja at quick glance, he heard my race pipe, and looked at me as i passed with this confused look on his face. I bet he said "Why does that BMW sounds like a Harley?". I gave him a wave but his jaw came so far down that i he was unable to wave back.  | ||

I was out on a ride in the country and stopped to get a bite at a little Ma and Pa Burger stand. This true cowboy (wearing the bull riding buckle he earned) sitting across from me is looking at my Uly and starts to make some nice small talk. "How you like that BMW?" I answer, its not a BMW its a Buell. All I got was "Huh, Goofy looking thing." My dad was with me and rolling on the ground at that point. | ||

I get a kick out of seeing people look up for the "Harley" then trying to work out what it is. | ||

Fastmag, The bull rider may have been a bit more knowledgeable than you think. At a number of angles and just a glance, the yellow F650GS is a near twin. I know. I traded one in on my orange Uly and they parked them side-by-side in the parking lot. From the showroom, they looked quite alike. | ||

I've been getting the WTF look for the last 11 years. The Uly is still Stock but the 98 S1 with the Race Pipe and Muffler always gets the looks. | ||
