Just completed my 1st oil & filter and tranny fluid change. What a stone simple task that turned out to be. Used some spare cardboard for make shift funnels and nary a drop of dino juice anywhere on the bike. Used a small plastic funnel with a clear hose attached to fill the tranny, and a different colored one to fill the engine oil. Also used a small block of wood under the kick stand while filling the tranny. Have a Pit Bull stand on the way to simplify the process. Quickest and easiest fluid change of any 2 wheeled vehicle I've owned.

It can't get any easier to do a fluid change...I have caps that screw on the oil bottles that have a pointed funnel/snout. I take the oil cap off..screw on this pointed cap and squeeze the oil in..no funnel, or hose needed. |

Adrian: I looked for exactly what you use. Did you purchase the pointed caps, or get them from other containers? |

I have found that transmission oil funnels work great on filling oil in any vehicles I have serviced! I have also been known to combine funnels to great effect. |

Excuse the dumb question (got to get that service manuel) but any of the stuff (torx, bodywork fasteners, bolts screws, plugs etc.)that are required to remove /loosen to change both fluids require locktight when reassembled. What about muffler removal re-installation as well...... Thanks |
