While I really want a ZUMO, I can not afford it. Is anyone using the quest unit for GPS?

I previously used a Garmin V unit and while it was somewhat memory constrained, it worked fine.

Thoughts on the Quest anyone

I'm using the Quest (not Quest II) and am very satisfied. It started acting up one week past warranty (1 year) and Garmin replaced it no questions asked. Now that's a company that will get my future business.

I couldn't be happier with my Quest. I also like having the Mapquest software on my laptop for route planning, track logs, etc. Remarkable little piece of equipment. I bought mine a little over a year ago for about $350. I imagine they're even cheaper now.

I have the Quest II (actually the Conquest Harley model) I use it on my Uly and Electra Glide. This is my first GPS and so far am really liking it, no complaints.

I love my quest to the point of board tedium : )

I have no need for the Quest II over the Quest, as spend a lot of time around computers and laptops regardless. I loaded all maps necessary for a "Cincinnati to Deals Gap to Wheels Through Time" grand loop with lots of surrounding areas and map room to spare.

If they act up (not holding lock) check my article in the knowledge vault... it's an easy fix... two screws and 5 minutes. But don't tell too many people, I am hoping to score a "broken" one on ebay for $100 to just leave in the car ;)

I have a Q2 and am happy with it. I did not get the Buell model, just the open market version. I had a bit of drama with the install as "some assembly required", but Cycoactive, RAM and Touratech can help out with this. See http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/213010.html for more.

I got the Buell model with my bike, I figured to get it at the same time, hopefully it'll carry a longer warranty (the same as the bike). So far it's great. It's my first GPS, and now my girlfriend wants one for her car.
