Got mine today. Called the Dealer, they have no clue, or I should say the guy I talked to had no clue. Does anybody know what the recall # is? |

Mine came in today also. They will just have to wait until I get back from Daytona. My second BAS was replaced about 200 miles ago, so maybe it will last. |

Bulletin B-066, recall code 0833. Wave shipments begin the week of 2-26. In a wave shipment all dealers are sent a few of the kits/parts needed to complete a recall. No recall parts may be ordered while they are doing wave shipments. I suggest you call your dealers and request to be put on a list to reserve your parts. |

Aeholton, Where the hell have you been? Treadmarks, The recall is not just for a replacement but for a relocation. You will still need to get it done (unless they have already relocated your BAS). |

Frankf, I think the 'BAS' kills the motor and won't allow re start until bike is picked up, turned off and then on again. |

So why do I have the feeling, having just picked up the bike a couple weeks ago, that none of these recall fixes have been performed on my '06. How does that work? If they have the bike sitting on their showroom floor are they supposed to "upgrade" them before selling them? And as for this one, will I get a letter just like the big kids? |

I got mine today. The dealer talked to me about it last weekend, so I'm waiting on them to let me know when they have to parts in. I haven't had a problem with it, however. |

What's the story with the BAS? Is the problem US only or is it with the entire XB12X series from '06? The Buell people I've been in touch with here in Sweden don't know anything about it, and I've got the feeling it might be kinda distracting to have the engine go dead mid-corner...

We got ours yesterday as well. When F_b first posted about this coming, I called the dealer and spoke to our Service Writer. They have our name on one of the kits coming in and will be done before MBIV! The power of BadWeb! |

Recall applies to 06 and 07 Uly's made between March 24, 2005 and October 5, 2006. "...BAS will be moved from the original location on the battery tray, to the current production location on the seat latch." |

The Recall notice for my Ulysses was in the mail yesterday. Mizilus Posted on Tuesday, February 20 How does that work? If they have the bike sitting on their showroom floor are they supposed to "upgrade" them before selling them? "YES" When a Recall is announced, there is a "Stop Sale Order" that goes out first. A dealer cannot sell a vehicle with a pending recall. The recall must be performed... Your bike, will likely need the BAS recall, depending on the timing of the release. |
