All the dirty kids sit in the back of the bus!

Welcome! Permagrin is a known issue. BMC is doing nothing about it!

Ken - you'd better go mow the lawn, wash the car and do whatever yard work is due because it probably won't get much of your time from now on.

Welcome to the addiction.

I've been looking at winter tire/stud/chain options. I don't want to have to quit riding it just because there's snow/ice on the ground.

Yeah, it's that addictive...

Looks good, but egads! You're brain will have quite a time reconciling the handling differences!

What was real interesting was I sold my '92 Electra Glide last weekend (then I got the Uly). I rode the '92 around before the guy came to look at it and then after getting on the '07 Electra with the easy pull clutch and slightly different controls. It sure took some getting used to going back and forth between the two Electra Glides. So far not much problem going between the Harley and the Buell. At least now after riding the Uly my KTM 520EXC will not feel so weird after not being on it for a while.

The Electra Glide is more comfortable when the wife rides with me and you would be surprised how it takes the corners, no comparison to the Buell but it holds its own.

Congrats!!

Are both bikes new?

I would love to hear from you next year on the mileage each bike has. Just a little scientific study.

Yeah the Electra Glide is a 2007 about a month old and already had 2100 miles on it. Bought the 2006 Uly on Wednesday and it only has about 180 miles so far.

When I bought my 1992 Electra Glide and 2003 XB9S in 2003 I put about 15,000 on each that year.

I have 93,000 miles on my 1993 Yamaha GTS1000 I bought new in 1995. Counter shaft bearing just went out so it is down.

Yeah guess it is hard to tell if the Harley is new as the styling has not really changed. Here is the 1992 and 2007 next to each other as I delivered the 1992 to the new owner.

I don't guess I actually even rate lurking around this board...I've only put 4300 miles on my Uly since last October. Most of my spare riding time goes to my bicycles-probly logged about 7000 miles on those this year.

You are probably in better shape than most of us after putting that many miles on your bicycles.

Don't feel bad about having less miles, on a Uly they're all good miles!
7,000 miles on bicycles? Except for the pain that has to equal 20,000 miles or more on a motorcycle.Hope your Uly is the right color!

KRASSH-
I also ride a '99 FLH with only 61K and a '06 Uly with 4,500. Enjoy them both for all the right reasons.

Sorry to start the COLOR wars but couldn't resist...it's starting to cool off here so I figured the "up north" guys needed something to keep them warm at night.
Ridin year round in the Carolina's and loving it

remember when riding a orange Ulysses to stop at every railroad crossing or you'll likely get a ticket since they look so much like a school bus the police watch that closely! lol
