Cooling fan died this weekend. What do you think the odds are that I will have my bike back on the road for my trip to Pittsburgh this weekend?......:> Bike had 29,540 when the fan went. |

No bets. However, you've got to be the mileage king on a Uly! |

30k, that's impressive, both for you and the fan! Mine is sounding progressively worse at 8k, I could actually feel it running through the seat today when I stopped once. I don't remember that before. I'm going in tomorrow and buy one, even if I take the bike to service first and they finally agree there's something not right with the fan, I'm less than confident they'll expedite the replacement. Didn't happen with my warrantied tail light or case latches, still waiting for reimbursement for my out of state timing adjustment. Parts guys though bend over backwards for me, that's why I stay with that dealer at this point. |

I saw a fan on eBay last night for $25. (used) Looks like someone totaled a Uly. |

Mine died at 5k. I found that mine sounded ok when it was cold, but when hot it didnt want to spin. It finally wouldnt work at all when hot, but would still go when cold. Make sure they get the bike hot, and dont just use the digital technician to check it when cold. |
