Thinking of a Uly-06. Opinions please. Is the seat, thigh area too hot in the summer? I hate a hot seat!! TIA, Steve |

Too hot? That's subjective. It does get warm in the summer, but I don't find it unbearable. |

Thanks for the quick reply. Has anyone done anything to make it cooler? How about the thigh area..I heard reports from early tests that this area heats up also. Thanks again. |

When I feel a little hot in that area, I stand up on the pegs for a few seconds. Cools everything right down. |

I'm in AZ and I have no issues with it. Low seat and High Seat. |

I've never noticed the seat being hot. Non issue for me. |

The seat does get a little too warm on very hot days..which means to me over 90 degrees..MY fix and it does work; is to put two layers of silver/aluminum furnace tape on the under side of the seat..This really does the trick... guaranteed.. |

Myself, I'm not too bothered by the heat. It's far cooler than my '92 Honda VFR was. Still, any cheap fix to be more comfortable works for me. I'm trying the furnace tape fix first. Simple solutions are typically more my style. Try the link below, too. They're fabric heat shields that cover more areas. I've not got them, but they look to be high quality and should be effective. Others in these forums have used them and seem to be happy. And they aren't particularly expensive. http://www.specialops-online.com/4436.html |

Yes the right side gets hot. I think it comes into play during the last few miles of a tank of fuel. Do I regret selling my '01 Tiger even with an S2 and S3 in the garage? I'd do it again in a heart beat! DAve |

I use the thigh heat to gauge when the fan is going to run. It gets pretty warm, then the fan kicks on, and pulls the heat to the rear. |

Steve, if you get one, you won't regret it. The heat is quite tolerable; even on the high temp days we had the past couple of weeks. Take one for a test ride. Be careful, though; the Grin will come back in spades. |

I use the Special Ops heat shield for the heat in the seat. Wrapping the pipes helps tremendously. |
