I found these lights on Trail Techs web site and also found some favorable reviews on the Adventure riders forums. http://www.trailtech.net/eclipse_mr16.htm If I can figure out a good mounting set up I think I just may end up with a set of these. The price is reasonable and the internal ballast makes these much easier to mount up. I am thinking about getting one spot (6 degree) and one flood (12 degree). This is probably a better set up than installing an HID low beam (still a consideration). Any input would be great before I plunge into beta testing it on the Uly. KS |

If they're so incredibly bright, are they road-legal? I didn't notice anything one way or another on the site, but they're made for ATV's... |

I thought the Uly was an ATV I don't know if they are DOT approved. I believe most HID headlight conversion kits are not approved either. A few guys on advrider.com have posted good result using these on their KTM Adventures. |

I think those are considered "Off road" lights. Would def check laws before mounting. The problem is not really getting pulled over by police, but passing inspection. If you can get someone to pass the lights, then I would say go for it. |

I like that price. Looks like HID's price is coming down to a doable level |

Uhhh, nice lights. I'd be inclined to use QD connectors and just remove them before any inspections...those would be perfect for back roads and dark forests. I've ridden with others who had HID and was wishing afterward that I had them. Very nice indeed! |

they sell two different sizes/power level. And then you can get either size in spot light or flood light beam patterns. I wish they compared all 4 versions.. Its soo much that I desire more light on the road. I just desire more light for the cagers to notice me. |
