Hey well, I was bored today so I went down to my local shop and was talkingg about dirt bike bars and stuff, and thought well I've dropped my bike 4 times and those stock ones suck! So I picked up a pair of acerbis ones. They are sweet. Only took about 30 min to install ( see pics) And the only minor mod to be done was to cut the ends of the brake and clutch levers down.

Four times?! What are you doing that you drop it that often? The guards look nice, although it looks like they probably offer less wind protection than the stock pieces. Opinions? |

Um well riding in snow and deep mud lol, not dropped at speed but still these will offer better protection... And the buell ones don't offer too much protection. But you can buy an extend lip to go on top of these and that will make them as tall as the stock ones. |

I have been thinking about some other kind of hand protectors (bark busters), and those are the ones I was thinking about. What did you pay for them?(If you do'nt mind me asking) Did they come with the mounting hardware? |

um ya retail is around 120$ canadian and it came with all the mounting stuff you need. To get the extra part to give more wind protection is about 20 bucks. And I think they look way cool and are useful, thats a slid steel bar in behind the plastic. |

My drop count is at 4 also. If my hand guards go I was also considering metal backed ones and now that the work. I'm in. |

Which acerbis guards are those? They seem to have about 20 different models. Also, based on the mounting, do you see any way to potentially combine the guards with some bar-end mirrors? |
