I made these pipe cradles to fit my pipe perfect out of a 2x4. It works with the Craftsman jack and I thought others might want the template too. The template is a pdf file. When you print it out make sure the scale is 1 to 1. Check the measurements to make sure they match up. It works great for me.

Hey thanks for the template I was wondering how I was going to get the profile of the can so I could make a jack for Uly. |

I'll be using it too, after I tie the two together with braces...Safety First! you don't want them to kick out!!! |

I thought about connecting them to make them more stable but it is pretty good like this. I will tie-down the bike to the stand for a more stable hold. |

Oooh...good idea. You could put a brace on each side. Just add the right length of 2x4 going front to back on each side. Or if you wanted to get really tricky, use bar stock. |

This may seem like a stupid quesiton. How do you keep the bike upright as you lift? The straps attach to the base of the lift, not the lifting part, right? I was at Harbor Freight and opted for the aluminium version that had the tie-downs on the lifting area. We'll see how that works out. |

All these ideas sound really neat while in your garage at home. And I am going to make myself some of those blocks to use with my Craftsman motorcycle jack. And plugs can patch many flats when far from home. However, what do you do while on an adventure bike trip riding your Buell Ulysses Adventure Sport Bike, and need to change a tire? |

Hey Trapper. I am taking my XT to Prudhoe Bay This June. I had the same concern about a flat on the road. I made a simple cam action one piece jacking plat using one tire, the side stand and the jack plate to lift one wheel off the ground. I use either the front or rear muffler jack point to lift either tire. |
