A couple of friends on KLRs and I took a ride to eat some Great ribs yesterday. We live in northeastern Ok. The Interstate BBQ in Memphis was our destination . We left at 5 am and returned home at 9 pm last night. 771 miles of fun !! OH YEAH , the BBQ was GREAT !!!! I have 3375 miles on my Uly so far. The original rear tire has a couple hundred miles left on it . The fuel mileage was averaged over the whole trip, 49 mpg. The last 200 miles we were constantly running around 80 mph. At every gas up , I used less than the KLRs. We rode Hwy. 412 most of the way east , and came back across I-40 , 540 and finally Hwy. 412 from Siloam Springs, Ark. to home. |

That is cool... after being dragged to the movie "Elizabethtown" this past weekend (featured some of Memphis) I decided that was my next destination for the Uly... thanks for tip on where to eat |

Hello xb12xdude, Now that is some hardcore rib addiction - however, I think you would have gone on the ride even for medicore ribs. Did you buy your Uly from Route 66 Harley-Davidson / Buell? I was in there last week getting my first service and was pleased to find out they have a Buell certified mechanic and the Parts Manager owns a Buell as well. I had to travel all the way to Festus MO to find mine when I found out they would not have any more Ulysses in until after the 1st of the year. Roy |

Hey Roy , Yes , I bought mine from Route 66 . They have a great crew over there. You're right about the ribs. We'll have to get together for a ride sometime , I live in Locust Grove. |

That would be a lot of fun, I will be in court for a speeding ticket on November 11th! Just outside of Salina - on my way back down from Jay. Actually, I doubt I have to go to court, just need to make sure they mark it down to 9 miles an hour rather than 10 over the limit. Did you get bags with yours? Mine came in today and the instructions for the top box were the same as for the side cases. I think I am just going to take it to the dealer and let them do it. |

The dealer from MO called me last Thursday and said they were in and they shipped them to me. I bet yours are waiting for you at Route 66. I think I read a thread on here that said all backordered bags were shipped a week ago Friday. I am impressed with the quality. First class. Not at all cheapy looking like the factory cases for my BMW. |
