I am beside myself! I finally got to give my brand new XB12R the flogging I have been antsie to give her. Here in Seattle the rain is finally starting to catch up, but today the rain stayed away and the ground stayed dry long enough for me and a couple buddies got to stretch our bikes legs. Granted I could not flog my XB as much as I wanted to due to the whole break in period, but the twisties had me smiling the whole time. The power is something I have never felt before in a sport bike. I will admit it here: I am not much of a Harley guy. I have always been more into the European and Japanese bikes... Until today. Now, I still love them, but the power the XB puts out in a 400lb bike is unbelievable to say the least!! I don't think I would change a thing about this bike. I cannot wait until more dry weather comes around so I can really stretch the thing!! |

Sounds like you’re having a great time with the new ride. The XB12R's are bad looking bikes. With you coming from a Japanese sport bike back ground, I'm surprised to hear you're impressed with the power. The XB12's do make great torque at relatively low RPM though and are hella fun to ride. I recently bought my first Buell [XB12X] and absolutely love it. Be careful on that thing though until you get used to it! Ride on Bro! |

I think the real reason I like this bike is the "everyday", "real world" power this bike supplies. I can cruise at 55 mph in third gear. The fuel does not slosh around like other bikes do. Even though the bike tops out at an amazingly slow 140, it can out corner the "agile" repli-racers out there. GOOD TIMES. |
