Put ~600 miles on my new Uly since picking it up Thursday evening. On a few occasions, the check engine light has come on. It always seems to happen after it has been running for a while and then stopping (turning off the engine) for a few minutes. When I start it back up and begin riding the light comes on. If I stop and turn it off for around 10-15 minutes it doesn't come back on. Any ideas? I will call the dealer on Monday and schedule to have it checked out, but I thought I read something about this happening to someone else. |

This has not happened on my Uly. But it did on my Road Glide. What the dealer told me is that when the check engine light comes on, a problem code is produced. That problem code is then stored in the memory until cleared. The technician calls up the stored problem code and then can trace and fix the trouble. After completion, the tech clears the memory. My trouble was a loose ground connection. Nothing major, just a little frustrating until fixed. |
