When the low fuel indicator on the Ulysses illuminates and the low fuel trip meter begins counting, you have 38.7 miles before you are walking. The range of the bike is 198.3 miles. This was determined experientially, BTW. The whole dramatic account is here... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/6817/143300.html?1127106778 And in this instance.... YMMV... quite literally, in fact. |

What kind of mileage is everyone getting from their Ulysses? I can't seem to get anywhere near the epa claimed 51/65. I get around 43 to 46. 745 miles on the bike so far. Doesn't seem to matter whether I'm going down (twisty) Mines road or the freeway. |

I've got 1200 miles on mine and get about the same mileage as you Bosh. Taking an extended trip in a couple of weeks and I'm going to see what I average. |

Hey All, Only 150 miles on the clock, but I put gas in the other day and 76 miles on 1.2 gallons = 63mpg. Course, this was riding very easy with the break-in and all. Oh yea, mostly side roads not much stop and go or traffic to contend with. |

Your economy will probably go up after a few thousand miles. My friend's XB12 started off with less economy than my X1 but now that he has 12000 on it, he ALWAYS gets more than me (the bastard). When we're doing back roads at "moderate" speed, he routinely gets just over 60MPG and I get around 52MPG. It think it's because the new brains are smarter. |

46 mpg is a typical figure now. I was getting over 50 mpg during the break in period. |
