I just got it in the mail. Was reading about the 999R vs GSXR1000 shootout, turn the page and low and behold, there it is! Billed as an Adventure Sportbike. Looks pretty cool! XB12X, highmount front fender extra clear windshield piece looks like it sits quite a bit taller in the ground clearance different tail, can't see it very well in the picture. Looks like it may have a rack for luggage? fork covers handguards headlight grille belt drive Pretty cool! |

I can see it now, the magazine isle at Walmart being invaded by people in Buell clothing, fighting over the last issue of Sport Rider! |

If'n I get out of work in time(which is kinda doubtful, 1st day back to work after a 3 1/2 week vacation ), I'll stop by the magazine store and pick one up, scan the picture in, and post it. |

I think Dave just sold about 400 copies of Sportrider- he should get a commission from them! IF the new issue is on the shelf before Saturday... (Message edited by whodom on July 18, 2005) |

Nice, can't wait to see the real thing. It figures Sport Rider would wreck the surprise compliments of their not being a monthly mag. I assume they weren't considered for advertising or an early press release on the Street Rod or they probably would have messed that up as well. |

Does this mean no sportbike for 2006? I guess if there was one it would be advertised in Sport Rider not the dual sport. |

I was really excited for a new bike, but this isn't really new at all. It is great marketing...they got a 'new bike' but didn't have to really do anything new. I think I'm just bitter 'cause I really wanted to see what the design team at Buell came up with next. Was this kinda the intention for the XB9sx. I mean WTF is city cross anyway. You just gotta love those Marketing folks. |

It doesn't look completely "new bike", but there is bound to be more to the Ulysses than we can see in an airbrushed advertisement. Also don't forget a LOT of people here trashed the City-X when it first came out. Now it seems to be the best-liked Buell so far. Subtle changes made a BIG difference in the appearance and performance of the bike. The XB12X may be an even bigger step in the same direction. |
